ABOUT ME

I am an Ex Submarine Sailor who spent around 3yrs on the USS POGY (SSN 647) back in the 1980's. I was an FTG2 (SS) which is a Fire Control Technician. An FT's job is to be in control of all the Weapons Systems of the Submarine. Back in the day this included Torpedoes, Tomahawk Cruise Missiles, Mines and other Offensive Weapons. First got assigned to the Boat when she was a "Project" Boat up in Mare Island CA along with the USS PARCHE and the USS SEAWOLF, part of DEVGRU 1. Then we transfered to San Diego where we went out on "Special" Missions along with 2 WESTPAC's and who knows how many other training Missions.

 Recieved various Awards such as a MUC (Meritorious Unit Citation), Navy Expeditionary Medal and others I can't remember.

I was fortunate enough to travel to Japan, South Korea, Australia, Polar Ice Cap, Phillipines, Hawaii and other places that I can't talk about. My favorite stop was Australia. The people were great, the Women were great and the Country was great.

I've traveled the Pacific Ocean, the Bering Sea, North Pole, and a few other places I can't share.
